Curriculum Units for Teachers

New Units Coming Soon!

Middle Eastern civilizations form an important cornerstone of human history, past, present, and future. Their long tradition of scholarship in science and humanities contributed to the transference of knowledge from the ancient world to the modern. The GMESC, a National Title VI Undergraduate Resource Center, is dedicated to fostering greater interest in and knowledge of this important region and its long history through outreach to K-12, higher education, state and local government, the community, and the media. The Consortium provides information about local, national, and international educational resources, offers workshops for teachers, holds public lectures and cultural events on a range of topics, and provides academic speakers for schools and civic groups upon request.
