Accomodations for the nights of September 17 and 18 will be provided free to conference participants. Rooms have been reserved at the University Inn, 1767 North Decatur Road, Atlanta, GA 30307.

Those attending the conference but not presenting a paper may reserve a room by calling the University Inn at (800) 654-8591. The rate is $89 per night. The University Inn is within walking distance of the Michael C. Carlos Museum. The hotel will provide a continental breakfast.

Additional rooms are available at the Emory Inn, 1641 Clifton Road, at a rate of $99. To make a reservation at the Emory Inn at this rate, call 800-933-6679 and let them know that you are with the Middle Eastern Studies conference.

Getting from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport:

By car:
1. Start out going West on S TERMINAL PKWY toward AIRPORT BLVD. -0.2 miles
2. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto AIRPORT BLVD. -0.6 miles
3. AIRPORT BLVD becomes N TERMINAL PKWY. -0.2 miles
4. Merge onto I-85 N toward I-75 N/ATLANTA. -8.9 miles
5. Take the GA-10 E/FREEDOM PARKWAY exit- exit number 248C- toward CARTER CENTER. -0.3 miles
6. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto FREEDOM PKWY NE. -1.0 miles
7. Take the GA-42 E ramp toward CARTER CENTER. -0.1 miles
8. Stay straight to go onto GA-42 CONN E/E FREEDOM PKWY NE. -0.6 miles
9. Turn LEFT onto MORELAND AVE NE/US-23/GA-42. Continue to follow GA-42. -1.6 miles

By public transport:

MARTA: Atlanta's public transportation system, MARTA, is the most convenient way to travel from the airport. Cost $1.75. All trains leaving the airport stop at Lindbergh Station (N6). From Lindbergh Station, take a taxi to The University Inn (approx. $8.00).

Airport Metro Shuttle: Follow the signs for ground transportation. Metro shuttles depart every 15 minutes and will drop you at the University Inn. Reservations may be made at the ground transportation center upon arrival. For rates and to make return reservations, call: 404-766-6666.

Taxis are very expensive in Atlanta and not recommended for traveling from the airport. The cost for a trip from the airport to Emory will be over $40.
